Velocity Program

LBA also offers a 6-week long program that meets 3 times a week for velocity training. This training is beneficial not only for pitchers, but for position players as well. While increasing velocity, the athletes will also undergo mechanical tweaks to throw and move more effectively and efficiently.

Youth

The velocity program for youth includes a specialized medicine ball routine. The medicine ball routine will help the athlete to gain strength and velocity in a way that will promote further velocity gains as they get older. Velocities are taken once a week and charted to keep track of the progress of the athlete.

Youth (Ages 11-14) – $300 ($16.67/lesson)

High School

The velocity program for high schoolers utilizes Driveline plyo-balls. Detailed velocities are taken at each session to chart the athlete’s progress. Video is also taken in order to expand on the mechanical tweaks for the athlete to ensure that the velocity gained is sustainable and gained in a healthy way. The main use for this program is to get ready for either the high school season or a showcase/event that is taking place sometime in the near future. This 6-week program allows the athlete to properly build up and reach their peak at the correct time for the event.

High School (Ages 15-18) – $500 ($27.78/lesson)

College

The velocity program for college student athletes has the same structure as the High School program, but with much more flexibility. This program takes place during the day in the summer, which allows for a greater range of flexibility with the times at which the athletes can get their work in. The program takes place 3 times a week within a two hour time frame based on the facility’s and athletes’ availability.
